Kindergarten K-3 TO K-5
Kindergarten is an exciting time in a child’s life. It is also a very important time, since all the “first” in a child’s education take place during those early academic years: their first attempt at reading, their first knowledge of numbers, their first creative projects, usually their first time away from home, their first experience in a structured situation, and often their first contact with a large group of other children.
Your choice of a learning environment for your child is very important and the reason we take our responsibility so seriously. We are going to provide a strong foundation for the “basics” of your child’s education and will continue to build on that foundation each year. We will present the challenge needed to grow as their mental “eyes” are gradually opened to the wonder of God’s world around them. We will keep a Godly environment so that children can grow academically, socially and physically. Most important of all, we open God’s Word to your children and pray that they will open their hearts to Him, His salvation and His leadership.
That is the heartbeat of Highlands Christian Academy. The policy and procedures that we have in our Kindergarten is for four basic purposes: for building Christian character, for using time wisely, for maintaining academic excellence, and for safety.
